UAEPRIMARY ROLE Responsible for the business result of the assigned accounts and / or sales area, the Accounts Lead builds relationships with key decision makers in Hospital Units. He / she develops and maintains productive relationships with key administrative and key decision stakeholders in order to influence decision processes to facilitate the Hospital business. He / she contributes to harmonize and target Sales efforts across the Hospital Business to maximize all market opportunities and negotiates contracts with buying organizations ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsibilities Develop and implement a Hospital business plan and key customer satisfaction goals for the assigned accounts and / or sales area Responsible for developing cross-divisional sales in Hospital Business for assigned key customers / sales area in collaboration with Business Managers, Sales Managers (and Regional Account Leads where applicable) with a shared responsibility for the Hospital Sales budget Develop strategic customer alliances Strong working relationships with internal sales team to establish processes and achieve business goals and sales targets. Maintain, develop and consolidate relationships with all important functions within the Healthcare System at sales area level and at Hospital level (where applicable)- based on country specifics and country legislation. Responsible for the business result of the assigned accounts and / or sales area Bring in market intelligence and customer knowledge Work with Country Lead, Sales teams and other internal key stakeholders while monitoring regional / local key policies that may affect Hospital business in designated sales area Maintain a watching brief on developments within the sales area and customer’s organization which may affect future business in co-operation with Marketing Analyze account attractiveness and develop the account plan including sales, market share and required resources in co-operation with Marketing Make field visits and establish strong relationships with key decision makers and committees within the sales area and buying organizations for Hospital Coordinate the “account team” from a Accounts Lead perspective (not as a hierarchical people manager) Negotiate and prepare bids and tenders for Hospital (in cooperation with RAM’s - where applicable) Conduct business reviews with each assigned buying organization, covering sales volumes, compliance & competitive conditions (in conjunction with RAM’s where applicable) Closely monitor and report competitive activities at sales area level Work with Sales/Marketing Managers and Business Leads in implementing multi-source product sales and marketing strategies Manage expense budget Develop and manage new services for key customers and sales area EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Relevant university degree At least 3 years Sales/Key Accounts experience in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology IT skills in standard Microsoft office applications Specialty care experience . Desirable: Business qualification e.g. MBA Experience with Key Account Management in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries Pharmaceutical sales experience with more than 2 years Experience with orphan or niche medicines a definite asset.
