About the Job: An opportunity has a risen for a colleague to join Housekeeping team in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, for a Assistant Manager role. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the Housekeeping Attendants and Team Leaders by making sure that these services are available and carried out with the utmost efficiency Interacts with suppliers and contractors. Helps in maintaining records of all deep cleaning work i.e. window cleaning, carpet shampooing, drapery cleaning, and mattress turning, bedspread cleaning, blanket cleaning and general rooms cleaning. Also keeps records and follow ups of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program. Follow-ups on all out of order rooms. Ensures correct distribution and control of master keys. Conducts inspections of corridors, public areas, back of the house and rooms to ensure proper cleaning. Ensures that all equipment is well maintained and handled correctly. Handles guest complaints in accordance with the customer feedback SOP’s. Reporting all complaints to the Executive Housekeeper and/or Housekeeping Manager. Checks the logbooks and follows up on outstanding matters. Assists in taking various inventories. Demonstrate commitment to the development and implementation of the QMS system and continual improvement of its effectiveness by: Communicating to colleagues the importance of meeting customer as well as regulatory & statutory needs. Ensures the availability of resources to carry out all tasks. Ensures customer requirements are determined & met. Actively promote an awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. Ensures that responsibilities and authorities are defined and communicated within the organization. Ensures that all colleagues report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag and grooming standards are met at all times. Assists in the building of an efficient team of colleagues by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development. Ensures that all colleagues provide a courteous and professional service at all times. Supervises the colleagues with the department ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained. Ensures that all colleagues have a complete understanding of and of and adhere to the hotel’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety. Conducts colleagues’ evaluations for all housekeeping colleagues to review their general performance, discuss existing performance and areas of improvements by conducting probationary, bi-monthly and yearly appraisals. Ensures that all the colleagues within the department meet the requirements set by Jumeirah International in the Quality Manual for Training, Vision, Mission Statement, Hallmarks and Jumeirah Quality. Ensures housekeeping colleagues achieve on average 06 hrs. Training per month. Assists in the training of the colleagues ensuring that they have the necessary skill to perform duties with the maximum efficiency. Develops training plan that enhance colleague performance and motivate them to be more effective in their work. Monitors the result of monthly CSI results and maintaining positive feedback by consistently provided quality service to our guests to enter text. Assists in all the administrative aspects of the department ensuring that necessary clear and concise records are maintained. Documents Control Changes. Liaises with Front Office to make sure that rooms requested are ready for the guests prior to their arrival. Liaises with Engineering Department for the room’s maintenance program ensuring the percentage of room are given daily for checking and remedial maintenance. Liaises with the F&B for special needs. Ensure Departmental Performance Plan is understood and implemented. About you: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Fluent in English, both oral and written Diploma in Hotel Operations Diploma in Hotel Management Certificate in HS&E Group Trainer Certificate 3-year experience in a junior management role within housekeeping in a 4/5 star hotel.
