Job Profile: Job profile entails independently handling of the claims relating to the company’s diversified General Insurance portfolio which include Property, Engineering, Casualty, Marine Cargo, Liability and Hull, Energy, Aviation, Credit and Specialty lines and overseen the Motor Claims Dept. A thorough knowledge of handling complex claims pertaining to the relevant class of Insurance and underlying underwriting and re-insurance principles & practices, and strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills are mandatory to successfully accomplish the tasks assigned to this job. This responsibility also includes analyzing claims at micro and macro levels, ensuring efficient broker & client service, finalizing Management Reports and ensuring proper and effective claims settlement to customers and subsequent recovery processes. CLAIMS SETTLEMENT Review and administer the claims process, exercise effective control on indemnification levels to ensure fair and equitable compensation to affected parties. RECOVERIES Follow up recoveries from negligent parties to ensure timely exercising of subrogation rights in order to reduce the final claims outlay. A fair knowledge of litigation practices is essential to satisfactorily accomplish the assigned tasks. MANAGEMENT REPORTS Prepare, coordinate & ensure timely submission of Management reports in order to provide the operational data for Management information and decision making and carryout analysis of the performance of various lines and make appropriate recommendations. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND MONITORING Provide timely guidance and technical solutions to problems when required by the Branches, Agencies and Development Officers for claims related issues. MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF STAFF Motivate, train & develop the assigned staff in order to optimize their performance & ensure achievement of the specific objectives in an efficient manner with a high level of Professionalism. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should be between 35-55 years of age. He should be an Associate member of The Chartered Insurance Institute of UK or equivalent with over 10 years of experience in the field of insurance, out of which at least 7 years should have been gained in a managerial position with similar job responsibilities.
