Position Responsibilities/Key Accountabilities: On an individual basis completing the process based/ department based audits, evaluating the controls and providing recommendations to enhance the controls by making the process more efficient and effective. Sharing with auditees the results of the audit and agreeing appropriate corrective actions to remedy any non-conformances and the date by which the actions should be carried out. Reviewing compliance, ensuring the organisation is adhering to rules, codes of practice, business ethics, internal guidelines and principles. Determining the important scope of areas of the audit review and developing audit work program. Obtaining, analysing and evaluating accounting and process documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc. Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process. Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings for the business. Conduct follow-up audit to monitor management’s interventions and implementation of the recommendations. Conduct Inventory counts and Retail Showroom visits independently and prepare reports audit reports with the findings pertaining to the count or visit. Skills: The candidate should possess the below competencies: Maintain open communication with the auditee and the management. Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sectors rules and regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards. Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement for the business. Should have professional scepticism to drive the audits independently and must have sound independent judgement. Should have the acumen to manoeuvre large amounts of data and compile detailed reports. Must have high attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Should have sound knowledge of IFRS, accounting and auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations. Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Must be fully/partly qualified CIA/ACCA/CA/CPA Must have 4 to 5 years of experience in auditing or accounting in UAE. Internal Audit experience will be preferred. Prior experience of working on policies and designing of process will be an advantage Advanced computer skills on MS Office, Accounting Software and Databases. Prior experience in working on Oracle or ERP will be preferred.
