BUSINESS SYSTEMS OFFICER (DT) - -Dubai
Dubai -Support in the development and implementation of ETL integrations in to the data warehouse, and thereafter the modelling of that data ready for ingestion in to the Business Intelligence visualisation tools. Manage the day-to-day data and reporting tool requirements JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS Plan Prepare test plans for user acceptance testing, and prepare training plans for the planned release of systems and set up a procedure for identifying the users and their training requirement on an ongoing basis. Deploy Follow project management processes & techniques to drive the delivery of the technology solutions to ensure deliverables are met in terms of quality, quantity and timelines against the agreed SLA. Provide high quality post implementation system support to the users by encouraging best practices to improve the productivity, cost efficiency and retention. Lead Develop and leverage relationships with business operational staff to define & deliver solutions to agreed specifications. Be accountable for delivery of assigned tasks. Execute Provide training/support to the business for assigned systems and generate ad-hoc reports for them as required. Drive system enhancements according to the changing requirements of the business. Collate and document user requirement specifications for information systems (technical, software or websites) required by the business in liaison with IT other support departments. Perform solution testing, report the deviations through proper documentation and ensure the system is delivered in accordance with the specification. Conduct post implementation health checks. Conduct system administration tasks by maintaining the reference data and the user access control accurately, regularly monitor the system performance and initiate corrective measure if required. Utilise existing technologies (MS SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) with ZappySys) to deliver ETL solutions in to the data warehouse. Ensure the scheduled data loading processes are completed on-time and to a high quality, ensuring data quality and accuracy of data. Trouble-shoot issues with data content or reporting systems to facilitate timely correction of issues. Support and guide external vendors through the data models in our data warehouse, ensuring third party ETL processes are fit for purpose. Qualifications & Experience Information Technology.Other : Qualifications: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Experience: Information Technology. Other Minimum 5 years experience of which at least 2 years are business, data or technical analysis experience. Training & Knowledge: Experience in the travel industry is an advantage, but not mandatory. Additional qualification in IT / Computer Science or Business Analysis (such as CBAP) is an advantage, but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of business analysis practices. Ability to analyse business user requirements. Demonstrable logical, creative and analytical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Person As a successful candidate you will be degree qualified, preferably in an occupational H&S discipline. Other degree disciplines will be considered, however need to be supported with Health and Safety professional qualifications such as NEBOSH. You will be coming with at least 8 years of experience and will already be working in a H&S Management position in a multi stakeholder environment on a large construction project/programme. You will be coming with experience from the built environment.
