They are embarking on an aggressive growth strategy to invest in and set up in-country operations including distribution for their own brands of Pharma and Medical products across multiple countries in Africa.Role OverviewThey are looking for a Medical and Scientific Affairs Manager who will be part of the Global Marketing Team and be fully responsible for all medical and scientific content and the delivery of this content in terms of training across teams within each country of operation. You will also be responsible for the overall scientific and medical training content and for ensuring that the knowledge base across the organisation is at a world class level and in line with MNCs. You are someone with a medical and scientific mind set, preferably with experience in Medico marketing with reputed pharmaceutical companies and possibly with a regional / global role in MNC Pharmaceutical.Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing your highly-energetic and action-oriented style will help as you facilitate and drive change in a fast-paced environment.You reflect the Group’s values by being Innovative, Accountable, Driven, Collaborative, Proactive, and Customer Obsessed.ResponsibilitiesAcademic Interactions with Medical Professionals and other key stakeholders across our network of country operations globally.Be the owner of Scientific Activities including but not limited to CMEs, Regionalisation of core marketing programmesMedical training of field forceContinuously update medical/ product knowledge of field force and new recruit training across all countries and regions in coordination with the marketing team by devising and utilizing innovative methods of medical training.Active participation in scientific programs through lectures/presentations to propagate scientific communication to target audience.Conducting CMEs/doctor group meetings at regional level in close collaboration with regional marketing teams to identify needs as per company prioritiesField work with regional sales and marketing teams to build rapport with KOLs take suggestions to improve the quality of scientific services/ brand feedback.Work with clinicians or patient advocacy groups to implement patient education programs/doctor programs and to increase awareness of our brands across multiple therapy areas.Liaison with key opinion leaders on educational and clinically/scientifically oriented initiatives to establish long-term collaborative relationships and advocacy.Responsible for identifying and segmenting KOLs in various therapeutic areas in terms of speciality, experience and academic interest in the respective regions.Customer Relationship Management through Scientific inputs and Medical QueriesProvide scientific inputs and, timely and value-added responses to medical queries from medical profession, patient groups consumer groups, government authorities and field force to strengthen relationship with these stakeholders of respective region.Responsible for medical information services (MIS).Responsibilities include supporting sales force in providing information to physicians related to latest developments in medical research, current recommendations on Standard of Care across therapeutic areasInvestigator Initiated and Post-Marketing Surveillance studies/Market Data from key stakeholdersCommunicating at an ongoing basis competitive/scientific intelligence from region to marketing head to ensure timely objection handling/ scientific support to sales marketing teams to handle competitor objections.Desired ExperienceMBBS 5+ years / MD 3+ yearsEffective medico scientific training, content origination, presentation and organizational skillsExperience in Medico marketing with reputed pharmaceutical company.
