Dubai - Technical Translator Location: Dubai - Posted: 06 May, 2019 Description Translator General Location: Dubai - Occupancy: full time Description The Red Hat Localization team is looking for an experienced Technical Translator with Arabic language skills to join our amazing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the translations, reviews, and quality assurances (QA) of our software user interfaces (UI) and the documentation that teaches our customers how to use the software we produce. You’ll need to collaborate with subject matter experts in and out of our organization, as well as with other translators working in the area of your language expertise. Primary job responsibilities Localize user interfaces for our software offerings from English into Arabic Localize documentation that teaches customers how to use our offerings and solutions from English into Arabic Work with technical experts to correct and improve localized Arabic content Collaborate on translation projects with other Red Hat’s translators and external translation agencies Review translations and provide feedback to peers and external translators Required skills Professional or advanced-level translation abilities with solid writing skills in Arabic Ability to communicate at a professional level in written and verbal English Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with a global, cross-functional team Prior experience with localizing software UIs and documentation from English to Japanese Ability to research information technology (IT) topics to ensure accurate and high-quality translations Familiarity with translation management systems We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer. Min 2-3 years of IT support role experiences in in hospitality industries such as parks, F&B, Retail operations or hotels. Previous experience in handling Point of Sales (“POS”), other retail or F&B systems. Able to communicate with business users at all levels. Strong troubleshooting skills in software problem or technical issues. Have supported & implemented POS, other retail or F&B systems. Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware & software concepts. Desirable: Excellent skills in excels and power points Strong understanding of hospitality IT support and services Have involved in pre-opening of attractions/parks, F&B, retail operations or hotels Have some support experience in supporting ticketing system & turnstiles.
